about

Brent Meidinger is a professional musician and actor from Stratford, Ontario. As a musician, he has shared the stage with some of Canada’s premiere musical acts, including Joel Plaskett, The Great Lake Swimmers, Joshua Bartholomew, and Wintersleep. More recently, Brent has made it his mission to bring high-quality seniors entertainment to audiences across the country, with over 1500 performances at more than 350 seniors homes and day programs across Canada since 2020.

As an actor, Brent studied theatre at The University of Waterloo (via Wilfrid Laurier University) and subsequently spent two years as a company member of Standard Deviation Theatre, appearing as Hamlet in Hamlet, Lenny in The Homecoming, and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. His film work has appeared on national networks such as TSN, CBC, CTV, and Global and included a win at the Montreal World Film Festival for “Today I Did My Laundry” (Best Canadian Short Film), in which he played the lead role.

In addition to his music and acting work, Brent is a certified teacher and spent six years teaching Grades 4-8 prior to moving into music full time. He occasionally sees his former students around the community, at which point they ask him if he is still eating Little Caesars every day for lunch. Unfortunately, he is not.
